The NCA are organising a jubilee picnic to be held over this bank holiday outside the village hall on Friday 3rd June. Expect bunting, music, outdoor games, children’s face-painting, CAKE and lots of picnics for the village’s biggest ever lunch party from 1pm. We are setting up a number of long tables, but also encourage you to bring a blanket for the grass.
FOOD
BYO food and drink. There will also be a purchasing bar operated by the village hall. The Parish Council and NCA have combined to fund a certain number of free burgers and sausages on our BBQ. Collect a token as you arrive. One token/helping per person. At 2:30pm we will cut and serve our jubilee cake
PHOTOGRAPH
At 2:30pm, just before we cut the large cake, there will be a village photo taken. Please leave the central area temporarily if you do not wish to be in the photograph. It will be announced.
Talk to your neighbours and plan to make and bring your own food and decorations to your table or picnic blanket area. We will be decorating the hall and some tables outside. Tables inside are provided for those less able, or with access difficulties. There is a full access toilet in the hall.
There will not be a road closure for the event on this day and vehicular access remains normal.
Dont forget to bring:
A blanket (unless you want a table ), cups for drinking and toasting, sun hat/ sunglasses, salads and sandwiches and your favourite picnic food, drinks, snacks, flags.
